Wellness Center
Health, Counseling & Accessibility Services
Our mission is to provide services designed to address the modification and maintenance of successful healthy behaviors through a wellness philosophy. Wellness is a lifelong process. It is the integration of body, mind, and spirit; an appreciation that everything a person does, thinks, feels and believes impacts mental and physical health. We aim to empower students to become health consumers responsible for their well-being and the fulfillment of their personal goals.
Health Services
A medical provider is available Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Staff will assess students and provide guidance for self care of minor injuries and illnesses. Staff will refer students for additional medical evaluation if further treatment is needed for any individuals with serious symptoms.
There is no charge for the health services received at the Wellness Center.
Urgent care facilities are located around the city. Students will be referred to them, telehealth or their home primary care provider if further evaluation and treatment are required.
Emergency care is available to the students at McLaren Flint or Hurley Hospital. In the case of an emergency students can call Campus Safety at extension 9501 (on campus), or 810-762-9501 (off campus).
